This English text is provided for the reader’s convenience. The Korean version is the governing text.
For early users
If you install Rapt before Rapt Pro — a one-time purchase — arrives, Rapt Pro is yours free, for good.
- Nothing to sign up for. It unlocks on its own in the update that introduces Rapt Pro.
- It goes by the Apple ID that first downloaded Rapt before the update with Rapt Pro reaches the App Store, and covers every iPhone and Mac using that Apple ID.
- “For good” means for as long as I offer Rapt and Rapt Pro, and you can use it exactly as someone who bought Rapt Pro can.
- If you still see a purchase screen, write to support@rapt.kr and I’ll sort it out.
Writing Notes and Threads, and copying them out, stay free with or without Rapt Pro.
Get in touch
Where you got stuck, what you wish worked differently, what works well — tell me any of it by email.
I usually reply within a few days. It is a one-person app, so an immediate response is not always possible.
What makes it much faster
- Your device and OS version (for example: iPhone 15 Pro · iOS 26.5, MacBook Air · macOS 26.2)
- What you did and what happened — in order
- A screenshot, if something looks wrong
When spell check stops
Korean spell checking goes through the relay server to the checking service. English is checked on your device, so the limits below do not apply to it. Here is what to do, depending on the message you see.
- “Too many requests at the moment” — Many requests arrived in a short time. Try again in about a minute.
- “You’ve used today’s spell checks” — You have used the daily allowance (about 10,000 words) for your internet address. On shared Wi-Fi, as at an office or cafe, everyone on that address shares the allowance. It refills at midnight Korea time.
- “Spell check is paused for today because of heavy use” — Total use across the service was high that day, so it is paused for now. It reopens at midnight Korea time.
- “Spell check isn’t available right now” — This is one I have to fix. Please let me know at support@rapt.kr.
The numbers may change depending on how the service is running.
Exporting your writing to files
I recommend keeping important writing in files too. On iPhone, open the menu at the top right of the list; on Mac, open the File menu; then choose Export All. You get one zip file with a Markdown file for each piece and a backup file for restoring. Later, choose that file with Restore from Backup and only the writing not already on this device goes back in. What is already there is left alone.
Posting from a different Threads account
Connect Account continues with the Threads account already signed in to your browser. To post from another account, tap Disconnect Account on the publish screen, then tap Use a Different Account. It opens from an empty sign-in page.
When your writing seems to be missing
Deleting something in the app does not remove it immediately — it goes to the trash, and you can restore it from the trash in the list. The trash does not appear on screen while it is empty.
If you use more than one device, check that both are signed in to the same iCloud account and that iCloud sync for Rapt is turned on in the device settings. Depending on the network, sync takes anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes.
Turning off iCloud sync does not take away what you wrote on a device — it stays on that device.
When Threads will not connect
Connecting signs you in to your Threads account directly. If the sign-in window does not open, or the app does not come back after you connect, quit the app completely, launch it again, and retry.
If you see a notice that the connection has expired, simply connect the account again. You can disconnect at any time from inside the app.
Publishing cannot be undone — to remove a post already published, delete it in Threads directly.
